This week we watched the movie Goldilocks and the Three Bears
and we read the book. We talked about what a character is
and who the characters in this story are. Some students drew
pictures of their favorite characters. We used a map of the bear’s
house and bears and a Goldilocks to practice retelling the story.
We also talked about the beginning, the middle and the end of
a story. We will be starting Everyone Has A Story where each
child will have a chance to tell his/her own story and make a
book about it to put in our library center. I’m hoping to use the
storykit app on our iPad to make a digital version of each story.
We tasted green, yellow, and red apples on Tuesday. Before we
tasted we predicted if each would be sweet or sour. We graphed
our favorite of the three apples. Yellow apples won!
Monday, January 30 at 5:30, we will have a parent meeting. It’s
a pajama party. We will have activities for you to do with your
child.Our classroom is in need of Kleenex! Any donations would be
greatly appreciated!
