Little Scotties Scoop
January 6, 2012
We’ve had a great week back from our Christmas break. This week we have worked on letter names, the sounds that they make and words that begin with those letters. We watched the movie Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and have talked about coconut trees. We drilled a hole in the end of a coconut and drained the
milk, then we took a chisel and hammer and busted it open to see what was inside. The kids who were brave enough tasted the milk and some shredded coconut.
Next, Friday, the 13th(!), will be ice cream Friday. Please send in $.50 for your child!
Please make sure to put your child’s name in his/her coat!
If you need you contact me, please email me at genelle.jones@glasgow.kyschools.us or call me at school, 659-0432 between 1:00 and 2:00 or after 3:00. If you call at any other times during the school day, please leave a message with the school staff. Speaking to parents is always a priority, however my time when the children are at school is devoted to meeting their needs in the classroom. I will return your calls as soon as
possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
