This week has been short but busy. We finished reading Pumpkin Jack then observed and documented how our seeds are growing. We have several big sprouts. After reading Jack and the Bean Stalk, we planted magic beans and predicted what would happen to them. Our magic beans are hanging in baggies in the window so we can watch what happens as they begin to change. The kids are really interested in the seeds and how plants grow so I am considering doing some project-based work with plants. We will need the lamps and other materials needed to grow plants indoors. If you, or any of your family, have materials we can borrow, please let me know.
Next Thursday our school is hosting Family Literacy Night. This is a LOT of fun. You will play sight word bingo with your child for a chance to win a turkey. We will be making our bingo cards Monday for our small group activity. This will be the preschool parent activity for November.
We will be visiting the Southgate Plaza Houchens on Tuesday, November 22, at around 9:15. Anyone wishing to meet us there needs to let Ms. Genelle know.
