Little Scotties Scoop
November 4, 2011
We had a great time Trick or Treating at Barren County Health Care and the Glasgow Board of Education. Thanks to the parents that tagged along with us!
Thank you to everyone who sent in the lysol wipes and band aids!
This week we practiced tapping a steady beat with rhythm sticks. We read The Itsy Bitsy Spider by Iza Trapani and sang the song. Some students worked on counting, while others worked on simple addition with spider webs and flies. We tried out dry erase crayons on our dry erase boards to see if we like them better than our markers. Today we baked pumpkin pie and graphed whether or not we liked it. We read There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves and fed our old lady leaves.
When your child is eating his/her candy, please save about 10 candy wrappers and send in your child’s bee book. We didn’t get many wrappers sent in this week so we are collecting them next week too. We have a math activity we would like to do with them.
IMPORTANT: We have NO SCHOOL Monday and Tuesday!
Please see the monthly calendar for other upcoming events in November.
If you need you contact me, please email me at genelle.jones@glasgow.kyschools.us or call me at school, 659-0432 between 1:00 and 2:00 or after 3:00. If you call at any other times during the school day, please leave a message with the school staff. Speaking to parents is always a priority, however my time when the children are at school is devoted to meeting their needs in the classroom. I will return your calls as soon as
possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
