We used our catapults to paint with this week. We catapulted cotton balls soaked in paint onto paper. One group did individual papers and one did a group mural. Half the class read Shoes, Shoes, Shoes and made a book about shoes. The other half read Pancakes for Breakfast and made a class book. We talked about the parts of a book (front cover, back cover, and title). We read A Letter to Amy and sorted types of mail. We made cards for someone special to us.
Thank you to everyone who sent in eggs and to those of you who helped us get the eggs hidden for our hunt!
Spring Break is the week of April 2-6! Enjoy!
On Tuesday, April 17, we will take a fieldtrip to Dinosaur World in Cave City. We will be having a sack lunch picnic while we are there. Each child will need to bring in $5.00 before the 17th. Any adults who want to go with us must have an approved background check on file with our school district and must also
pay the $5.00 admission fee. I will also need adult fees before the 17th. Siblings may not go with us on this trip.
Our April parent meeting will be on Tuesday, April 24, at 5:30 in the cafeteria. Our topic will focus on dinosaurs and activities for you to do with your child.
If you need you contact me, please email me at genelle.jones@glasgow.kyschools.us or call me at school, 659-0432 between 1:00 and 2:00 or after 3:00. If you call at any other times during the school day, please leave a message with the school staff. Speaking to parents is always a priority, however my time when the children are at school is devoted to meeting their needs in the classroom. I will return your calls as soon as
possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
